Dental Implant

Dental Implant

An implant is an artificial tooth root placed in the jawbone to replace missing teeth for individuals with tooth loss. This procedure is performed by implanting a screw-like structure made of biocompatible materials such as titanium or titanium alloys into the jawbone.

Dental implants offer a long-term solution with many advantages. Unlike other dental prosthetics, they are not removable, and there is no need to cut neighboring teeth to anchor them in place. As a result, implants provide a closer resemblance to natural teeth and can enhance aesthetic appearance.

However, dental implant surgery is a slightly more complex procedure, and certain criteria must be met to be a suitable candidate. These criteria include sufficient bone density, good overall health, absence of gum disease, and non-smoking status. Regular dental check-ups and hygienic care are also important for the long-term success of implants.
