Rhınoplasty

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a branch of aesthetic surgery that involves surgical or non-surgical procedures to correct the shape and appearance of the nose. It is commonly performed to address nasal deformities, alter the size of the nose, make corrections in specific areas such as the nasal tip or bridge, or achieve better facial harmony between the nose and the rest of the face.

Rhinoplasty procedures are typically carried out through a surgical procedure known as “nose job” or “nose reshaping.” During this procedure, the nasal bone and cartilage structures are reshaped, the nasal skin is adjusted, and other necessary modifications are made to achieve the desired nasal aesthetics. Rhinoplasty is the most commonly used method in nasal aesthetics and is usually performed under general anesthesia.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty, on the other hand, is a procedure performed using dermal fillers. In this method, fillers are injected into the nasal area to correct the shape of the nose or improve the facial proportions between the nose and other facial features. Non-surgical rhinoplasty generally offers a faster recovery time but may have shorter-lasting results compared to surgical procedures.

Rhinoplasty procedures can be chosen for both aesthetic and functional reasons. For instance, conditions like a deviated nasal septum or breathing difficulties can be corrected through rhinoplasty, leading to improved nasal functions.

The success of a rhinoplasty procedure depends on various factors, including the surgeon’s experience, patient expectations, anatomical considerations, and post-operative care. Therefore, individuals considering rhinoplasty should consult with a plastic surgeon first, gathering detailed information about the procedure.
